Services at the Workforce Solutions East Texas Centers are publicly funded and available at no charge. Each month, over 10,000 customers come through the doors of the fourteen center locations throughout East Texas.

At the Workforce Solutions East Texas Centers, job seekers find well equipped resource rooms with Internet connections linking them to local, state and national job listings. Job seekers have access to the tools necessary to conduct their search. Computers, telephones, fax, and the latest labor market information make the job search easier and faster. Training and additional assistance is available for those needing extra help.

Businesses can post customized job orders and receive referrals of applicants who match their requirements. The Workforce Centers also offer a variety of business services including job fairs, employment law information and training information.

The Workforce Solutions East Texas Centers are locally controlled and are members of the Texas Workforce Solutions system, which is sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission. Through the Workforce Solutions system, there are 28 Workforce Solutions Boards which are responsible for oversight of the Workforce Centers in Texas.

The Workforce Solutions East Texas Board is comprised of representatives of business, labor education and community organizations from the fourteen counties, which make up the East Texas Workforce Development Area. These counties include Anderson, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Panola, Rains, Rusk, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood.

Along with oversight of the Workforce Solutions East Texas Centers, the Workforce Solutions Board is responsible for a variety of employment and related training programs in the region including the provision of child care for working families and welfare-to-work initiatives. The Workforce Solutions East Texas Board is appointed by our local Chief Elected Officials Board, which also have oversight of workforce programs in East Texas.

The East Texas Council of Governments administers the various programs of the Workforce Solutions East Texas Board. Arbor Education and Training LLC. is contracted to manage the Workforce Solutions East Texas Centers.

The Workforce Solutions East Texas Board, the Chief Elected Official Board of Directors, the East Texas Council of Governments and Arbor Education and Training LLC. are partners working together to make sure your needs are met with complete satisfaction.
