Child Care Assistance

Do you need child care in order to work, or attend an educational program or vocational training program? Are you interested in quality child care in your area?

Workforce Solutions East Texas provides financial assistance for child care to families in the 14 county region of East Texas – Anderson, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Panola, Rains, Rusk, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood.  The goal of Workforce Solutions East Texas is to provide child care assistance and quality child care to parents working to improve their lives and the lives of their children.  The information contained on this website is here to help you:

  • Make a decision about child care for your child/children
  • Determine if you qualify for child care assistance
  • Locate a quality child care provider in your area
  • Complete the application process to receive child care assistance

Because funding for child care assistance comes from federal programs, you will be asked to provide information regarding your income, your family size and the work and/or training activities for each adult in your household.  If funding is available, and your family meets the eligibility requirements, a portion of your family’s child care costs may be paid by Workforce Solutions East Texas.  You may be responsible for a co-payment based on the family’s income.
