As the new Chairman of the Workforce Solutions East Texas Board, I would like to introduce myself and share with you a little about our organization. The Board is comprised of representatives of business, labor, education, and community organizations that are appointed by local officials that cover our 14 counties in East Texas. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in this area through economic development by providing a first class workforce for present and future businesses. It is the vision that business will regard East Texas as a region with an ever improving quality of life, an active and coordinated economic development program and a premier workforce.
The Workforce Solutions East Texas centers are designed to be a one stop access point to a variety of services for both employers and job seekers. We are committed to providing services that are helpful and informative, open to individual needs and that are timely and accurate.
