  I am Rusty Basham, Chairman of the Workforce Solutions East Texas Board and I
  would like to personally welcome you to our website.  The Workforce Solutions East
  Texas Board is comprised of representatives of business, labor, education, and
  community organizations who are appointed by our local elected officials. 

  The mission of our Board is to improve the quality of life in this area through
  economic development by providing a first class workforce for present and future
  businesses.  It is the vision that business and industry will regard East Texas as a
  region with an ever improving quality of life, an active and coordinated economic
  development program and a premier workforce.
Ours is a special mission, and we are fully committed to ensuring that every person has access to the
services that will give them the knowledge, experience and confidence to build better careers, lives and communities.  We are equally committed to ensuring that our area's employers have access to the
world's premier workforce and innovative programs.
