Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program requires persons age 16 – 59 receiving food stamp benefits to participate in employment, training or work-related activities unless they are exempt under the law. SNAP E&T provides funding for employment and job search activities, educational and/or vocational training activities, transportation and more.

How do I Know if I am Eligible?

The SNAP E&T program is only available to SNAP recipients. Eligibility for SNAP is determined by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). For more information about the SNAP (food stamp) program, including eligibility requirements and how you can apply, visit HHSC.
